A story of the heart

It all started unintentionally when I moved into my first apartment alone in 2020 during the Covid period. While looking for decorations that reflected me and were unlike any other, I wanted to create a macramé. My mother, who had learned this art as a child, then passed on her know-how to me and our first creations were born!
This simple personal project quickly evolved into a true passion. Together, we tied knots, experimented, and each moment spent creating strengthened the bond between us. Each knot, each gesture, becomes a meditative pause, a moment where we focus fully on the present moment. This practice, which allows us to move forward side by side, nourishes our complicity and our energy, whether together or alone.

My mother has always been the foundation of everything. She was the one who taught me to love this art, to put soul and love into it. She is the one who, with her knowledge and her heart, laid the foundations on which I relied to grow in this art. Today, we form a strong team, and with each passing day, we grow together, closer than ever.

Little by little, our creations found their way into the lives of our loved ones. The desire to share this benevolent energy led us to this day, the birth of Samsara.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of our adventure, and perhaps soon our next creation.

Why Samsara?

This Tibetan word evokes connections, cycles, and perpetual movement—like a thread that is knotted, untied, and recreated. Its symbol is the endless knot, representing continuity, harmony, and transformation—values that guide us every day.

Macrame

Macrame is an ancient knotting art believed to have been created by Arab weavers in the 13th century, or even earlier. The word "macrame" comes from the Arabic word "Migramah," meaning fringe—initially, artisans used it to decorate the edges of fabrics. Later, the technique spread thanks to sailors, who made macrame during their long sea voyages. It is an art that has transcended time and cultures. Its possibilities are endless and it continues to live on in the hands and imaginations of all who encounter it.
